NYC has been known to host events that often pass its city boundaries. The NYC Marathon

The New York City Marathon is a sporting event which takes place each year and attracts participants from across the globe. The Hot Pink Party Sponsored by the Breast Cancer Research Foundation

The Hot Pink Party is a beauty industry event that has for years been held at the Waldorf Astoria but recently moved to the armory on Park Avenue. It is an event known to attract more than a thousand of New York City’s celebrities and philanthropists. The main aim of this beauty pageant is to raise awareness about breast cancer and raise funds for use in funding its research.

Comic Con

New York City Comic-con falls under the trade show and conventions category and is an event that has grown steadily with each passing year. With each passing year, the event adds a new venue. Former venues that have been used include the Madison Square Garden Theater, Rock Bar NYC, and Hudson Mercantile. Each convention comprises of gaming challenges, dance parties, screening collections, and concerts.

New York International Auto Show

Falling under the trade show and conventions category, this international show is the single largest event countrywide, and which always manages to attract more than a million attendees. It is held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, where more than a thousand trucks and cars are showcased by different manufacturers. It is often used to showcase the latest developments in the auto industry, giving consumers a glimpse of what to expect on future models.
